ARE YOU A BRILLIANT MISTAKE-MAKER?

Here at Serenwood we’re proud to be making mistakes every day.
We believe that mistakes are essential to business success.
Failure is how we get to success.
(Although making the same mistakes twice (or more) is what will lead you to failure.)
So be proud of your mistakes. Learn from them. Be on a constant journey of self improvement. Encourage your team to do the same.
Talk about your mistakes and help others to overcome those same challenges. Don’t be afraid to ask for help.
All small business owners need to get on the rollercoaster of risk and reward, in order to grow. Playing it safe will not help you grow – take calculated risks and fix problems fast when they arise.
Are we making sense here? We’re telling you – go out and make the mistakes, then learn from them. Fast. Don’t make them twice.
– If you have a contract dispute, review your contracts and fix the core issue.
– If you have to write off a bad debt, improve your pricing and payment terms & put in place a policy for debt collection.
– If you get ripped off by a supplier, make sure you carry out proper due diligence the next time you sign up to a deal.
And so on.
Embrace Failure. Risk messing it. Take action to fix. Rinse and Repeat.
